DESCRIPTION:We are excited to be investigating the Rayleigh Lodge again this April! \nWe had a really interesting evening when we held our last event at the Lodge in January & are keen to see what happens when we return. \nThis Grade II Listed building was reportedly built in the 1500’s during the reign of King Henry VIII and used by him as a hunting lodge. \nRayleigh is a market town in Essex and is recorded in the Doomsday book of 1086. Rayleigh Mount was where Rayleigh Castle once stood. It was one of the earliest Norman castles built in the country. References to a market in Rayleigh date back to 1227. \nOver the years Rayleigh Lodge has been a private residence\, a hotel & more recently a public house which does great food & is part of the group Ember Inns. \nThere have been several reports over the years of sightings in the lodge & surrounding grounds of a lady. There have also been strange occurrences at the lodge which cannot be explained. \nWhat will we uncover when we investigate the lodge for the first time? \nThe Rayleigh Lodge ghost hunt includes: \n\n* Mediumship walk around; who haunts tonight?\n* The opportunity to use equipment as we investigate several areas of the lodge\n* Observe & use investigative techniques\n* Take part in group activities\n* The chance to investigate a historic building\n\nPlease note the pub will be open for the duration of the event but the restaurant\, conservatory & left bar will be closed to the public. \nWe will be meeting in the Lodge at 6.30pm for dinner & look forward to seeing guests there who will be doing the same before the event starts at 7.30pm. \nThere will be the opportunity to purchase drinks during the interval. \nPlease note this event is for over 18’s only.

DESCRIPTION:The bunker leaves us fascinated as to the amount of activity we witness there & that’s why we keep going back. Join us for a night investigating this unique & unusual location only for the brave! \nThe bunker has featured on many paranormal programmes over the years & has become a well-known location for paranormal activity. \nWe love investigating the bunker & over the years we have had some unusual activity. \nThe bunker has had a few uses over the years since being built in the 1950’s on land owned by J.A Parrish. The first was as an RAF ROTOR station\, followed by in the 1960’s briefly being used as a civil defence station then finally being used as regional government headquarters. It had space for up to 600 civilian & military personnel in the event of a nuclear attack\, this included the bunks still used for events pre COVID for the guests who were brave enough to spend the night. We can assure you they were sleepless nights & I am sure you will agree when we spend time investigating the dormitories! \nThe bunker was eventually decommissioned in 1992 as it was costing over £3 million per year to run & the Cold war had settled down so there was no need to have the facility on standby. \nMany reports of paranormal activity over the years are surprising due to the bunker never actually being required for war but it is thought that the activity is related to the land & the building of the bunker. It has been reported that the foreman working on building the bunker went missing one night when filling in concrete. Could he be responsible for some of the activity? \nThe whole feel of the bunker needs to be experienced to be believed and as it is so far underground\, it can feel quite disorientating when leaving the next morning in the early hours. \nIt really is a one of a kind location & not to be missed! \nOur Kelvedon Hatch Ghost Hunt includes: \n\n\n\nMediumship walk round – who haunts tonight?\nUse of Ghost Hunting Equipment\nPsychic Experiments including seances and glass divination\nGhost Hunting Vigils – in the pitch black!\nthe opportunity to buy Hot Drinks and Snacks\nExpert advice and discussion about the paranormal\nYour chance to ghost hunt in a haunted location whilst closed to the public!\n\n\n\nWe are currently unable to offer the sleepover option on this event. \nPlease note: Over 18s only – no pregnant women allowed and attendees must be reasonably fit. We are keen to find out more about the building & the stories it has to tell. \nThis beautiful Grade II listed building dates back to the 16th Century & was in use until its closure in the 1940’s. They used the traditional method of turning barley by hand. \nIt is also home to the Great Dunmow Museum & displays many historical artefacts including the Flitch Chair used in the famous Flitch Trials which takes place every leap year. DESCRIPTION:Join us as we investigate the medieval Guildhall in the historic village of\nFinchingfield. \nWe first investigated the Guildhall back in September 2019 with some\ngreat results &  have enjoyed investigating the hall along with the museum several\ntimes. \nThe village itself has a long history which includes witches & ghosts so we can’t wait\nto see what happens! \nThe Guildhall was built back in the 15th Century by the Guild of the Holy Trinity. The\nmain purpose was to house the guild of priests and also provide a schoolroom for the\nboys of Finchingfield & has been used for a place of learning for more than five\ncenturies. \nThe building fell into disrepair & following the second world war attempts were made\nto restore the site. Unfortunately inappropriate materials were used & architectural\ndetails were covered up. \nIn 2008 the Finchingfield Guild Trust was formed to save the building & to prevent it\nbecoming derelict.
